About Us
As one of the UK’s leading wealth management companies, we have a responsibility to use our influence and reputation to make a lasting difference. Our purpose is to give our clients, advisers, employees, shareholders and wider society the confidence to create the futures they want.
We are an inclusive community with core values of always doing the right thing, being the best version of ourselves and investing in long-term relationships.
We want to leave a legacy to the next generation of investors. A society that is fairer, an environment that’s cleaner, a future that is secure.
Our Culture
Culture is the glue that binds us together. It’s rooted in a shared purpose and a set of meaningful values that put our clients at the heart of everything we do. And it’s key to our success.
Driven by a desire to be the very best at what we do, we recognise that healthy cultures need deliberate and ongoing attention. We welcome people from all walks of life to join our community, share their perspective and help others to feel safe doing the same, because we know our success is thanks to the talented and diverse experience of our people.
We want to foster an environment where every individual feels that they have the opportunity to contribute and do meaningful work. This is vital to our continued success as an organisation. Put simply, our people are our biggest asset.
To keep pace with our own rapid growth in a changing advice landscape we take a shared responsibility to improve and move forward. This means we stay curious, connected and transparent about how we do things, and we see making mistakes as an opportunity to get better, faster.
Everyday, we move together as one to do the right thing for our clients and be a force for good in our industry.
Inclusion & Diversity
At SJP, we embrace diversity, not just because it’s the right thing to do, but because it makes us stronger. From helping us to make better decisions and manage risks, to fostering greater innovation and creativity. It enables us to deliver the best products, services, and experiences for our clients.
That’s why, together with our people, we are building an inclusive workplace that enables us to benefit from the different skills, perspectives, and experiences of our entire community.
We want to support our people to create the career they want, one that gives them clear purpose and meaning. By enabling everyone to bring their whole self to work, without any limitations, we hope to create a more fulfilling workplace that helps people develop and grow.
Actions we have taken to support this includes:
- Working with our Community Networks to create safe spaces for support, learning, allyship, and driving change. These include our Disability and Neurodiversity Network, Professional Women’s Network, LGBTQ+ Network, Race and Ethnicity Network, and Working Families Group.
- Listening to the experiences of our community through our workforce engagement panel, focus groups and employee survey – the outputs of which help inform our inclusion initiatives.
- Supporting the development of diverse talent through our mentoring, coaching and leadership programmes.
- Celebrating our differences through our calendar of I&D events and recognising key religious and cultural days.
- Partnering with external organisations to share best practice, support, research, and resources. These include: The Diversity Project, LGBT Great, Stonewall and more.
