We hold this belief so strongly that we only sell our products through financial advisers. We also believe:

At a career crossroads and looking for a new direction?
A career as a financial adviser could be exactly what you’re looking for and our Quilter Academy is here to help you on your way.
Becoming a financial adviser is more than a career change. It’s a way for you to secure your own financial future by helping others to plan for theirs.
Which areas people get financial advice in
You can advise clients on a wide range of areas such as, protecting their loved ones, saving for a rainy day, protecting their assets, or building capital or income for the future. At Quilter we want to provide financial planning advice and guidance to as many people as possible. As a trusted adviser, you would play an essential role in people’s lives, beginning relationships which can last for generations.
Who can become a financial adviser?
Think you need previous experience and skills in financial services to become an adviser? Think again.
It’s more important to us that you can say the following about yourself:
- I’m driven, ambitious and determined
- I’m ready to learn new skills and take exams to gain professional qualifications
- I’m personable, outgoing, enjoy building relationships, and above all want to help others.
These are the key skills and perspectives which, in our experience, we think you need.
From all backgrounds
Financial advisers come from all backgrounds. So it’s very likely that, like the many advisers who have graduated through our Quilter Academy, you could have what it takes to build an excellent career with us. This includes whether you are:
- Returning to work after a career break, for example maternity/paternity leave.
- Currently working in the private or public sector.
- Leaving the forces, professional sports, NHS, or emergency services.
- Already working within the financial industry.

We are focused on taking direct, meaningful and measurable action for change that is sustainable over the long term, to evolve our culture so that Quilter is a place where everyone can thrive.” Penny Cole, HR Director

A rewarding career
There are many reasons people become a financial adviser, whether that’s being in control of your work-life balance, or the financial reward you get. Yet, there’s one thing we hear most often from advisers when we ask what they love most about their job – it’s the satisfaction they get from helping others.
At Quilter, we have a long history of providing excellent financial advice to do just that. That’s why we’re one of the most respected financial businesses in the UK. We do this through our financial adviser community, which we’d love you to join.
