Empowering Proud Work: Inclusion-Led Strategies

Leading with inclusion and letting diversity naturally follow

Fostering an inclusive and welcoming work environment is crucial for attracting and retaining diverse talent pools. The link between diverse teams and improved innovation is well-documented.

Without concerted efforts to ensure an inclusive, intersectional environment for that talent, the ROI emerging from that diversity of background, lived experience and perspective is lost.

WHAT DOES THE DATA SAY

In EY’s Belonging Barometer 3.0, 63% of Generation Z workers stated a preference for a company that prioritises diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) over one that does not. But this gap was not limited to generational differences.

ACCA’s new report found that organisational DE&I culture was a key factor for 73% respondents when choosing a new employer, reiterating the importance of DE&I in organisations.

LGBT Great insights: These findings align with insights from our 2023 talent survey, which revealed that 65% of LGBTQ+ respondents were more inclined to apply to organisations that had been assessed for LGBTQ+ sensitivity.

This reemphasises the crucial role of an inclusive culture in attracting and retaining talent, particularly when it comes to diverse talent pools.[1]
